Suspected robbers on Sunday evening stormed the residence of an engineer, Mr. Samson Opaluwa, in Abuja, Nigeria kidnapping two ladies in the family after robbing them.
The ladies are identified as Ejura Opaluwa, 23, and her sister, Unekwu 19.
The gunmen stormed the family’s residence at about 5pm. They raided the entire house and dispossessed the residents of their valuables.
After the operation, the dissatisfied robbers decided to abduct the two sisters. Uncle to the abducted ladies, Mr. Amade Opaluwa, said the abductors had demanded a ransom of N150m (approximately GH¢2.9m) from the family.
He added that they initially demanded N200m as ransom, but now, they have brought it down to N150m. “We implore anyone with useful information to help us by contacting the nearest police station.” he concuded.
Ejura studies Medicine at the St. Lucia University in South America, while the younger sister is an Economics student at the Covenant University, Ogun State.
