The Kumasi High Court has dismissed the petition brought before it concerning the 2014 KNUST SRC Elections. The case was dismissed this morning.

The petitioners, Kofi Adabor, Olympio Sylvanus, and Stephen Opoku Nsiah were fined GH¢3,000 for not appearing in court. Duke Sasu Aaron remains the President-elect.

Duke Sasu Aaron (The Rescue Mission) was declared the President-elect of the SRC of KNUST in a biometric election that was described by representatives of ALL candidates as the most transparent and fair election ever organised at KNUST.

Some students accused the Dean of Students, Dr. Kofi Ohene Owusu-Daaku of perpetrating acts to render the Student Representative Council (SRC) impotent. This led the petitioners to send the case to court.
