The main entrance of the University of Ghana (Legon) which had been closed for several years due to major reconstruction works has been officially reopened to the university community.
At the short ceremony which was held on Monday, April 18, 2016, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Prof. Ernest Aryeetey indicated that the renovated main entrance is open to the university community and private cars with the University of Ghana access cards only.
No commercial vehicle nor heavy duty vehicle will be allowed through the main gate even with an access card as part of security measures by the university.
However the Okponglo entrance to the university remains open to the general public.
