Students of the University of Education Winneba (UEW) will go the polls on April 10, 2017 to select executives of their Students Representative Council (SRC) for the next academic year.
In an interview with myJCR News, spokesperson for the vetting committee, Mr. Robert Atsu Okor said that the vetting process was generally successful. He was however quick to add that, some aspirants having read the provisions regarding this year’s elections still appeared before the vetting committee knowing very well they do not meet the requirements, especially the CGPAs requirement.
He added that some of the aspirants appeared unprepared as they failed to answer questions pertaining to the offices they were aspiring to hold.
Per the vetting results, this year’s SRC presidency is going to be keenly contested by Patrick Agyei, a Business Administration student and Joseph Agyei, a student of English.
