I wish to start by expressing gratefulness to colleague University of Cape Coast (UCC) students who I affectionately call ‘UCC Fraternity’. We are in a new year but I will like to say thanks to you all for all the love shown me in 2015:
1. At the 2015/2016 UCC SRC and UCC Local NUGS elections and
2. At the 2015 ‘National Students’ Awards’ online voting.
Oliver Twist, as Charles Dickens narrates, always asks for more but I do not think that asking you to make me your next local NUGS President will mean requesting too much. No. I see it as a way for me to pay back faithfulness to the UCC fraternity – To whom much is given, much is expected.
2016 is pregnant and I will like to serve you with fidelity. I strongly believe that since September 2013, when I first put my feet into the University of Choice as a student, all the positions I have held were preparing me to bring innovative measures to the UCC local NUGS. I have since gained exposure, some experience and influence coupled with the ones I hitherto had. All these will come to play as we bring “Renovation through innovation and objectivity”. A vision to provide
a. Good leadership and governance
b. Proactive advocacy
c. High and proper welfare actualization
The theme “APOLLOS” is taken from 1 Corinthians 3 vs 6 – “Paul planted, Apollos watered but God gave the increase.”
Team APOLLOS is the hallmark for success. I endeavour all to join Team Apollos 2016 as we will water while God does His work.
Happy New Year and safe journey back to campus!
Signed
Apollos-Jnr Ambrose
