Medical Examination for UCC Fresh Students (2014/2015)

The admission of a student is subject to him/her being declared medically fit to pursue the programme of study in the University of Cape Coast (UCC). Every student is therefore required to undergo a medical examination at the University of Cape Coast Hospital (At South Campus) before Matriculation.

The medical examination process is currently ongoing at the Hospital, and students are required to observe the following modus operandi in that regard:

1. Report at the Accident & Emergency Unit of UCC Hospital with your admission letter and pay-in slip to pick up medical examination forms and Laboratory sample containers.

2. Stopover at the Laboratory and X-ray Units for investigations.

3. Call at the Dental Clinic and Optometry Department for screening.

4. Report again at the Hospital Out-Patient Department (OPD) with the Laboratory, Chest X-ray, Dental, and Optometry results. Go through Blood Pressure (BP), height, & weight investigations at the same point.

5. Call at a consulting room (to be guided by OPD In-charge) with all findings and results for a Doctor’s examination.

6. Proceed to Records Unit with all given forms, NHIS card and then two passport-sized photographs for a University Hospital attendance card.

NOTE:
Sandwich Medical Examination is still ongoing at the University Hospital and students are entreated to take advantage of this extension.
